Hard work lives on at Vuyani Primary School

There are many things that we are proud of at Tamar, but one of our biggest achievements has to be the difference we made to a very special school in Gugulethu, Cape Town.

It’s hard to believe that it was nearly 9 years ago that we all flew over for a week of rewarding hard graft, as we helped build a classroom, jungle gym and general maintenance at Vuyani Primary School.

A recent visit to the school (Thanks Myles!), shows that the jungle gym is still in one piece, the toilets are all still working in the new classroom and the world mural remains on the wall. Some familiar faces remain at the school and touchingly Tamar are still very fondly remembered.

I think this will always be one of the favourite things we’ve done…
