20th December: Remember When Jessica Ennis Won Heptathlon Gold?

Golden Girl Jess Ennis started Team GB’s Gold rush on Super Saturday – the image of her with the flag around her shoulders, the tears, the cheers… What an incredible day for British sport.

Add to that her second place in this week’s “Sports Personality of the Year”and you’ve got a pretty good year for the girl from Sheffield. And let’s not forget – when Rio 2016 comes around, Ennis will be at the peak of her career…

Outtake:  Findings by the British Council have found that the Olympics, Paralympics and Diamond Jubilee improved how the UK is viewed by other countries. A third of people asked now say they are more likely to visit Britain following the success of the Olympics. The legacy that the events of 2012 have left behind for Britain is certainly something to celebrate. We need to make sure that the UK continues to build on its positive perception.
