I’m very excited about our event for SMWLDN. We’ve been incredibly lucky to secure some amazing speakers to join our panel. If you want to hear what the ATHLETES themselves have to got to say about social media and London 2012 this is the ONLY event to be at.
Our panel includes:
Pete Reed MBE: One of the most naturally gifted sportsmen of our generation. Pete won Gold four years ago at Beijing and did the double this summer, winning his second Gold medal in the men’s coxless four on the 4th August 2012. @PeteReedRowing
Anna Watkins: Anna won Gold in the women’s double scull at London 2012. Anna and her partner Katherine Grainger are also the current Olympic record holders, after completing the preliminary heats in 6.44.33. @watkinsteamgb
Cait O’Riodan: is head of Product and Sport, 2012 Olympics at the BBC. Cait was responsible for all the digital development for the Games across web, mobile and connected television. The huge success of the red button was down to Cait. @caitoriordan
Jerry Dakin: social media manager at Cadbury, his day job leading up to and during the Olympics, was to maximise how Cadbury’s London 12012 sponsorship was delivered through earned and social channels. He may bring chocolate… @jdaykin
Joe Morgan: the online editor and digital marketing manager for TeamGB. Joe’s team ensured Team GB’s social media output trounced all the other countries social channels and won us social media gold. @mrjoemorgan
Don’t miss the chance to hear this impressive group of people talk about what must be Britain’s most incredible summer of sport ever.
Next Wednesday at 3.30, Skyloft at Millbank Tower, will be the place to be.
