It’s beginning to look a lot like…

As our office Christmas trees arrive and festive tunes play from our iPod speakers I’m in a Christmassy mood and looking for the best ways to spread some cheer over the next few weeks. Here are just a few of my favourite finds.
[nerdy + festive = awesome]
It may seem regressive to turn all your tweaked and improved digital photos into paper copies but there’s nothing quite as lovely as a proper Christmas card arriving in the post.
For iPhone owners you’ve probably heard of Instagram
: the photo sharing app. Well, now there’s Postagram too for iPhone and Android. You simply select the photo you’d like to send, from Instagram, Facebook or your phone, add a message and the recipient’s details and off it goes! Unfortunately the regular app isn’t available in the UK yet, but the writers, Sincerely inc. have brought out a special holidays app – Sincerely Ink
, which will ship to the UK.
Keeping with the photo/ print theme, Apple have a range of products they’ll create with a selection of your iPhoto pics. Brilliant for Christmas presents!
A smashing idea for the office Christmas party, Instaprint is a photo booth for Instagram. Available to hire for special events, your guests simply take pictures on their iPhones with Instagram, tag them with the location and the cute printer creates polaroid style pics in real time.
This is a sweet idea and a really brilliant use of the twitter api. Uksnowmap searches twitter for the hashtag #uksnow to create a realtime snow report. As the snow very nearly spoilt my big Christmas party
last year I’ll be keeping an eye on this throughout December!
