The latest change in testing at Google is the removal of the classic green URL in the Search Engine Results Page.

SERP ARROW

The new intended display will be almost like the breadcrumb trail on a website.

Google will be figuring this out algorithmically – most likely using site architecture and hierarchy. The change hasn’t been rolled out widely yet, but it is very likely there will be a flurry of traditionally flat websites changing their hierarchies to get some juicy keywords in the hierarchy. It will most certainly affect click through rates and searcher behaviour at the SERP level.
