Regular readers will know that we like to support charity here at Tamar – our own TLC being just the tip of the iceberg – so it was no big surprise when we decided to sponsor this year’s London Twestival gathering, held in aid of the charity Childline.
The party took place last night at Vinopolis in London, and if you’re a Twitter user you’ll have found it hard to avoid all the tweets about the event (search for the hashtag #LDNtwestival to see what you missed!) so I won’t go in to too much detail. As well as lots of free drinks from the various sponsors – Magners being one that I became very familiar with – there was great live music from acts including Newton Faulkner and The Hours. There were also some interesting ‘Spoken word performance art’ and poetry readings (?), loads of companies laying on fun things to do (our favourite were the bird badges!) and a great party atmosphere. We all had a brilliant time!
A number of Tamarites were in attendance, so here’s a few of the (publishable) photos we took from the event, in case you want to see what you missed! There are much better summaries than this of the night – Media Guardian, Londonist and PR Week to name 3, though there will be many more throughout today…
