What website do you wish you had designed and why?

Alex Christie

2 February 2009

So, I am sitting here on a snowy day in London more or less trapped in my flat as the weather has shut down public transportation and I thought, well, this is as good a day as any to think about a website that I wish that I had designed.

It is no surprise that the site I have chosen is travel related as I am very passionate about traveling. I also appreciate sites that improve a user's experience through technology. For these reasons, I wish I had designed the kayak website.

The controls for searching are easy to use and work well and the Buzz section provides many great ideas on places to go and the site is fast as well! Visually it is simple, but I think that this is important so that the site does not look overly complex.

Basically, the site gets my vote because it does that one intangible thing while still doing what I need it to do…it delights me!
