A drink for me??

Alex Christie

11 December 2008

The drinks on Facebook that gets sent to me via my friends, really gets me going. Some of the "gifts" you actually have to pay for. My motto is: if it's not tangible, then don't bother. But now a company has come up with a new way of making some money from this idea and it is taking it to a whole new level.

GiveReal has emerged from the dust and it allows my friends to send me a drink, a real drink, I can actually go to a bar/pub and claim that drink. Unfortunately this is only in the US at the moment, but who knows the idea might jump the pond to Europe. You can have a look at the Facebook application here.
