It’s the beginning of October, official start of Christmas madness. Every year at this time we all start seeing the adverts and decorations. What we also start seeing is the increase of Christmas related terms being used in searches.
In this example from Google Trends, around July every year, UK searches for ‘holidays’ diminishes as everyone finalises their Christmas holiday plans. Then in October every year a big spike for ‘chirstmas’ is seen.
Now, what I’m interested to know is this… are the early onset of Christmas adverts a result of a public demand for them, or is the public showing an interest due to all these adverts? Your thoughts?Tweet
