UK beach clean update

An update has come through from Dean at the BTCV from our beach clean at Whitsand Bay, Cornwall, UK. The data from the rubbish we collected has now been analysed and sent off to the Marine Conservation Society; we managed to collect a sterling 1604 pieces of rubbish!

As Dean says "that’s a lot of bits of plastic and other nasties that would have normally been left to wreck havoc on the marine ecosystem, so you should be proud of yourselves!".

It’s great to get the feedback and really good to quantify the difference that was made during the project. I’d definitely recommend getting involved in beach cleans to anyone; just contact the organisations linked to above to make a difference to the coast lines and our natural environment!
