Blogging in Strange Places

22 May 2008 | Posted by Henry Elliss | Digital Marketing Director | Social Media

As I mentioned yesterday, the release of the Typepad for Blackberry application means I now have the ability to blog from pretty much anywhere I like. As if to demomstrate the wonderful freedom of this, I am writing this entry from the District Line on London’s Underground, on my way in to our offices. But it got me thinking – what is the strangest place people could (or do?) blog from with the wonders of modern technology. I suddenly find myself secretly questioning where the authors of some of my favourite blogs must be writing from… Are they sat at a desk, or are they sat in the garden enjoying the sun? Do people blog while sat in the bath, or worse (you know where I’m going there!). Are people blogging in bed, or in traffic jams? I guess the possibilities are endless, but I for one would love to see some geo-tagging facilities added to mobile blogs, like the map tagging features on Flickr. I’m not sure how many people would use it, but it’d certainly make for some interesting coversation pieces. Right, better go – my stop is next!
