New twist on ‘Where’s Waldo?’

A Canadian artist is using Google Earth
and a large rooftop painting in a new twist of the popular series of books ‘Where’s Waldo’.

WaldoMelanie Coles has constructed a
16 metre long Waldo on a rooftop in Vancouver Canada. Instead
of identifying the character dressed in his familiar red and white stripped
sweater in a book, Coles wants ‘players’ to use Google Earth to find Waldo.

She’s obviously kept the exact location a secret but its unknown when Google
will update its imagery to pick up Waldo. Cole has already been contacted by 2 other people via her blog who are interested in constructing
their own Waldo’s.

Have a look at the project, Where on Earth is Waldo?

Oh wow, I want one! To be fair I haven’t got anywhere big enough to put a ‘Waldo’ (isn’t he Wally??) but I’m sure I could find a nice open space nearby for him!
