Yahoo! customers (it’s what we are) satisfaction increases
We all know Google is the market leader in the search arena, 80% plus, maybe 90% soon? But how do they fare for user satisfaction? And who, if anyone is hot on their tail?
Well, a recent report from Keynote Benchmark shows that Yahoo! is actually gaining ground on Google. And while Google is the number one ranked site across all the criteria examined Yahoo! is the number two ranked search engine. Interestingly Ask is number three, MSN four and AOL five.
One area which Yahoo! has improved on is by adding additnal functionality such as their ‘Search Assist’ tool which offers variations on the search terms used – we really like this as well!
As Yahoo! Director of Customer Insights Michael Kronthal said ‘Search Assist essentially helps users overcome one of their key pain points, which is how to craft an effective query. As they begin to type their query or their keyword into the box, it suggests other keywords that might be related to what they’re typing. So there.
