Google Announces Checkout Trends

The Official Google Checkout Blog announced on Thursday that they now have Google Checkout Trends. Patterned after Google Trends, Google Checkout Trends charts the data of relative revenues from merchants using Google Checkout.

This allows the user to see  a picture of what items are popular over time, and how two items compare with one another. For example, you can search for "ipod, zune" to see which item sold better last month.

According to David Wurtz, "If you’re interested in how sales of Batman or Spider Man paraphernalia compare, or are wondering just how popular Ugg boots are these days, visit Checkout Trends for a glimpse into online shopping. Go ahead and try it out – and get creative with the searches. You may be surprised at what you find."
