Ask.com appoints new CEO

This week has seen some management changes over at IAC Search & Media, owner of popular search engine Ask.com. Jim Lanzone will be stepping down as CEO of Ask.com and is moving to Venture Capital firm, Redpoint Ventures as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Joining Ask.com in 2001 Jim Lanzone has been credited with the search engine’s turnaround.

Replacing him is Jim Safka, former CEO of Match.com, the worlds largets online dating website with over 15 million members across 35 countries.

Furthur changes include:

· Scott Garell is named the new President of Ask.com

· John Park replaces Scott Garell as President of IAC Consumer Applications and Portals.
