UK online shoppers reportedly spent a record braking £767,500 in just 60 seconds at 1:09pm on Monday the 10th.

Monday was also expected to become the UK’s biggest ever online spending day, as up to £370 million was spent on shopping online according to payment processor Retail Solutions.

Wii games and accessories were apparently the hottest items online followed by the iPod range. Online shopping is expected to reach the £50 bn mark by end of year, surpassing predictions made by IMRG earlier this year. Last years total online spending amounted to £30.2 bn.
