I am delighted to be able to say that the candidate for the first Tamar Bursary has been selected. her name is Simo Sam and she is a 12 year old pupil currently at Vuyani pre-Primary school in Guguletu, Cape Town.

Simo will start at St Cyprians school in Cape Town in January 2008 and Tamar has committed to support her financially through the 5 years of her education there.

We hope to bring you lots of news about Simo over the next few years of her schooling.
