FT reports on growth in online advertising
VSS forecasts that online advertising will grow by more than 21% per year to reach $62bn in 2011, exceeding newspaper advertising, which is expected to total $60bn in 2011.
Forecasters are already expecting online ads to outstrip newspaper advertising in the UK and Sweden this year.
An interesting piece of research by VSS found that while overall ‘media’ consumption had decreased slightly by 0.5% in 2006 there was an increase in viewing ‘media’ at work by 3.2% to 260 hours per employee per year. And that was before Facebook took off!Tweet
