MSN Search Quality – Err, Struggling!

Google included in MSN Search Results

We all know that MSN search results are ‘different’ but we spotted something this morning which was a wee bit unusual.

A search for Travel Insurance on MSN threw up an interesting result. Ranking at #23 was the reasonably well known Search Engine Google. And this was not for a search results that Google may have conducted like this, but actually for www.google.co.uk – see below!

Back in the day it was not unusual to see Search Engine results cross pollinating but I haven’t seen such an obvious case for quite a while.

We also noticed that the listing above the Google result to GoTravelInsurance also contains an Affiliate ID as well, again something that we have noticed happens more on MSN than on other Search Engines.

Thanks MSN for making my day a bit more interesting!
