This week saw the launch of Microsoft’s latest version of Windows
Vista. For Bill Gates this is significant as it is his last big product
launch as full-time boss of Microsoft. For Microsoft this was a major
event as the Windows client OS accounts for 30% of their revenue and
60% of their operating income. Business analysts IDC forecast that
within the first year of shipment the new operating system will be
installed on 90 million computers worldwide.

Tanya comments:

‘We won’t be rushing out to buy Vista right away. Previous
editions have been riddled with bugs though hopefully Vista will be
more robust than its predecessors.’
